Collaborate. Define. Deliver.
Energy Systems Nexus is an industry-funded Net Zero collaboration initiative, bringing together a diverse group of the brightest and the best from across the whole energy system, from energy generation and infrastructure, to policy and consumer affairs.
Our industrial members will define and fund a programme of whole energy system research and development.
The aim is to help industry drive the transition to an integrated Net Zero energy system, identifying and realising the massive opportunities at the intersections of current energy sectors through collaboration and partnerships.
The Nexus will deliver impact through collaborations between Energy Systems Catapult and other partners with industry leading capabilities, to create evidence and insight that is independent of partisan interests.
What will the Nexus deliver?
With under 30 years remaining until 2050, the Nexus will provide an independent, industry-led, industry-funded collaboration space to inform whole energy system research and development to maximise opportunities to decarbonise and address the energy system integration challenges standing in the way of delivering Net Zero.
The Nexus will:
Develop a cross-cutting R&D programme of projects that take a whole systems approach to realising Net Zero opportunities for industry
Deliver a pipeline of high impact analysis that de-risks decisions needed to deliver Net Zero
Form impactful, collaborative partnerships to deliver insights for members and the wider sector to inform strategic thinking, develop skills, and bolster institutional capacity
